Ecological plasticity and adaptive potential of annual form of white sweet clover (<i>Melilotus albus</i> Medik)

The ecological plasticity, stability, and adaptive potential of varieties promising genetic lines the annual form white sweet clover were assessed. studies carried out in 2016-2020 Volga Scientific Research Institute Selection Seed-Growing named after P.N. Konstantinov, Samara Federal Center, Russian Academy Sciences. According to parameters plasticity studied differentiated into groups according their response changes environmental conditions. Most belonged highly plastic genotypes; Srednevolzhsky, Kinelsky, Zavolzhsky, line Hugh 0 characterized by highest stability under conditions Trans-Volga Region. Varieties 0, 40 Indus 1 resistant unfavorable factors. All are high selective value thus may be used as a starting material for developing new clover.
